REFUND POLICY

At Notary Near Me 24hrs, we strive to deliver reliable and professional service. Because our work involves travel, preparation, and legally binding documents, the following refund policies apply:

1. Services That Are Non-Refundable

The following fees are non-refundable under all circumstances:

• Travel Fees

Once a notary has been dispatched, travel fees cannot be refunded, even if:

• The appointment is cancelled

• The signer is unavailable

• Documents are incorrect or incomplete

• ID cannot be verified as credible (Credible documents can be a State ID, Drivers License, Passport, or Travel Visa)

• After-Hours / Emergency Fees

Late-night or emergency dispatch fees are not refundable once the notary is en route.

2. Refundable Situations

Clients may receive a refund ONLY if:

• The notary has NOT been dispatched

AND

• No work has been performed yet

In this case, any deposit paid minus processing fees (if applicable) will be refunded.

3. Deposits

Deposits secure your appointment and reserve a time slot.

Deposits are refundable only if cancelled at least 12 hours before the appointment AND the notary has not yet been dispatched.

If a notary has already begun traveling, the deposit becomes non-refundable and is applied toward the travel fee.

4. Apostille Service Refunds

Because apostille services involve government submission, the following applies:

Refundable (Before Submission):

• If you cancel before your documents are submitted to the state/county, you may receive a refund minus pickup fees and administrative work already completed.

Not Refundable (After Submission):

• Once documents are submitted for apostille processing, the service is fully non-refundable, as government fees cannot be reversed.

5. No-Show Refunds

No-shows receive no refunds, including but not limited to:

• Not being present at the appointment

• Incorrect or missing documents

• Missing, not a valid form of ID or expired ID

• Failure to answer phone/text upon arrival

• The full travel fee will still be charged.

6. Duplicate Charges or Billing Errors

If a payment is accidentally duplicated or processed incorrectly, we will refund the duplicate charge immediately upon verification.

7. Refund Processing Time

Approved refunds are processed within:

• 3–7 business days for debit/credit card payments

• Instantly for cash transactions (in-person only)

• 1–2 business days for Zelle or Cash App refunds

**(Times may vary depending on your bank.)

• The client cancels

• The signer is unavailable

• Documents are not ready

Document & Signer Readiness

Late-Night / Emergency Fee Notice

Our team provides reliable around-the-clock notary support. Due to increased demand and limited staffing during late-night hours, the following surcharges apply in addition to any travel fees:
 Late-Night Hours (8 PM – 6 AM)

An additional $25–$50 late-night service fee applies to any appointment scheduled between 8:00 PM and 6:00 AM.

 Emergency / Rush Appointments

A $25–$50 emergency dispatch fee applies when:

• A notary is needed within 60 minutes, or

• A last-minute request requires immediate travel,

• Or a document issue requires return service on the same day.

Hospital / Nursing Home Locations

Due to extended wait times and check-in requirements:
A $20 convenience fee applies to appointments at hospitals, nursing homes, rehab centers, and long-term care facilities.

Transparency

All late-night and emergency fees are discussed upfront before dispatch so there are no surprises.
